​Albertans Against Puppy Mills is a volunteer-based group of citizens concerned with animal welfare and the promotion of knowledgeable and responsible pet guardianship.


Albertans Against Puppy Mills advocates for the implementation of a municipal bylaw in the City of Calgary that will prohibit the retail sale of dogs and cats on public and commercial properties.


Albertans Against Puppy Mills promotes the adopting of pets from rescue organizations


Albertans Against Puppy Mills strongly discourages finding and purchasing pets from online marketplaces.

Did you know AARCS has over 100 puppies under the age of 6 months in their care?! That's a lot of puppies in need of forever homes! Some of already up for adoption, and others will be soon! They even have puppies currently receiving life saving medical care!
